Take bookings from Instagram, Facebook & Google (full guide)
Step-by-step: add your booking link to your Instagram bio and Facebook 'Book now' button so clients book straight from your social profiles.
Your Slotora booking page has its own address — slotora.co.uk/b/your-name — and works everywhere. You don't need any app, plugin or approval: you just place that one link in the right spots. Find your exact link in the admin under Embed (it's copy-ready). Below are the precise steps for each platform.
Instagram — the bio link
Every Instagram profile has one tappable link under your bio. This is the single most important place for your booking link.
- Open the Instagram app → your profile → tap 'Edit profile'
- Tap 'Links' → 'Add external link'
- Paste your booking URL and set the title to 'Book now'
- Save. Your bio now shows a tappable 'Book now' link.
Tip: if you already use a link-in-bio tool (Linktree etc.), add your booking link there as the top button — but a direct link converts best.
Instagram — Story link sticker + a 'BOOK' highlight
Bio links are passive. Story stickers put booking in front of people actively watching you.
- Post a Story (a photo of your work is perfect) → tap the sticker icon → choose 'Link'
- Paste your booking URL, and customise the sticker text to 'Book now'
- After it expires, save that Story to a Highlight named 'BOOK' so it stays on your profile permanently
Instagram — professional account (recommended)
Switch to a free Instagram Professional/Business account (Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account). It unlocks an 'Action button' on your profile and Insights, and it's required if you later run ads that link to booking.
- Profile → 'Edit profile' → 'Action buttons'
- Pick 'Book now' — if a Slotora partner option isn't listed, choose the option to add a website/booking link and paste your booking URL
- A 'Book' button now sits at the top of your profile
Facebook Page — the 'Book now' button
Your Facebook Page can show a big 'Book now' button under the cover photo.
- Go to your Facebook Page (as the Page, not your personal profile)
- Under the cover photo, click the button area — 'Add a button' (or edit the existing one)
- Choose 'Book with you' or 'Book now' → 'Link to website'
- Paste your booking URL and save. Test it while logged out to confirm it opens your booking page.
On mobile: open your Page in the Facebook app → tap the button under the cover → Edit → same steps.
Google Business Profile (bonus — huge for local search)
- Search your own business name on Google while signed in, or go to business.google.com
- Edit profile → 'Booking' / 'Appointment links'
- Paste your booking URL — it appears directly on your Google listing and on Google Maps
Good to know
- You don't need Meta approval or a developer account — a plain link works today and never breaks.
- 'Native' in-app booking (booking without leaving Instagram) needs Meta to approve a booking partner and is not required — the link method sends clients to your branded page and converts just as well.
- Use the same link everywhere so it's easy to update if your business name ever changes.
These placements — Instagram bio + Story highlight, Facebook button, and Google — typically drive the majority of online bookings for a local beauty business. Set them once and they work forever, commission-free.
